With 20 years of counseling
experience, Larry Palmer specializes
in therapy for couples and families.
He is also a licensed psychological
examiner in the State of Tennessee.
In addition to serving as an examiner
for the Evelyn Frye Center, he is
an Adjunct Instructor of Sociology
at Middle Tennessee State University.
Dr. Palmer holds a
Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from
Tennessee State University, an M.A.
in Marriage and Family Therapy and
a B.A. in Psychology from Western
Kentucky University, and an Associate
of Arts in Religious Studies from
Freed-Hardeman College. He is a
member of the American Psychology
Association, the Tennessee Psychological
Association, the American Association
for Marriage and Family Therapy,
the American Counseling Association
and the American Mental Health Counselors
Association. He is a fellow in the
American Orthopsychiatric Association.
After growing up in
St. Louis, Missouri, he has spent
much of his professional career
in the Middle Tennessee area. He
is a member of the Native American
Indian Association (Choctaw Tribe),
and teaches university course and
specialized classes in cultural
diversity.
