Sarah Maddox,
LCSW, has more than 20 years
of experience in medical social
work, including treatment
of addiction, co-dependency
and relationship issues, geriatric
depression, issues surrounding
sexual abuse and issues surrounding
depression and anxiety. She
has worked with clients ranging
in age from 6 to 96.
Sarah received her Bachelor’s
degree from Ashland University
in Ohio and her Master’s
in Social Work from the Association
of Behavior Health and the
National Association of Social
Workers. She is board-certified
for independent practice in
social work in Tennessee and
North Carolina.
In 1991, Sarah received the
Commissioner’s Award
for her work in Child Welfare
as well as the Rhoda O’Meara
Scholarship from the University
of Tennessee for outstanding
service in the field of child
welfare. In 2001, Sarah became
program director and clinical
director of the Center of
Senior Independence, a partial
hospitalization and intensive
hospital outpatient program.
During the Ascension Health
Care Review (of Saint Thomas
and Baptist Hospitals), a
JACHO reviewer named the program
“Best Practice,”
the highest acclaim the JCAHO
hospital accreditation program
offers.
Sarah has two grown children
and three stepchildren.
