Laurie Sullivan, LCSW
Laurie Sullivan is a licensed clinical social worker with many years of experience working with adults, couples, and families. Her background includes advanced degrees from the University of Massachusetts and Rhode Island College and years of working in community mental health, dual addiction treatment and at the acclaimed Professionals Program of the Institute of Living in Hartford, CT.
Using a compassionate, common sense approach, Laurie provides insight and solution-oriented focus to the problems of everyday living such as stress, relationship difficulties, grief, career concerns and money management. She is equally comfortable working with major mental health issues including depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder and with helping those living with chronic pain. She is interested in what works and is continually refining her techniques and resources to meet the challenges of each individual client's concerns.
Laurie loves animals, gardening, and playing mandolin and offers a relaxed and painless initial session to those brave enough to consider therapy as a vehicle for making positive changes in their lives.
