As a clinical
psychologist, Uma Subbiah specializes
in individual psychotherapy for
adults, adolescents and children.
In addition to psychodiagnostic
assessments, she provides group
therapy for adults with anxiety
and stress problems, marital and
family therapy, and individual therapy
to address mood, anxiety, adjustment
and personality disorders and behavioral
issues.
She holds a
doctorate degree in clinical psychology
from Wright State University in
Dayton, Ohio, an M.A. from New York
University, and a B.A. from Miami
University in Oxford, Ohio. She
is a member of the American Psychological
Association, and licensed to practice
psychology in Tennessee and Ohio.
Born in Moshi,
Tanzania, to parents who had emigrated
from India, she grew up in Gallipolis,
Ohio, as part of a close-knit East
Indian community.
