Linda “Ricki” Baer is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 35 years of counseling experience. Ricki holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Tennessee and a Doctorate of Psychology from Forest Institute of Professional Psychology, where she was selected for membership in the National Honor Society. In addition to providing psychotherapy services for over 20 years, she practiced six years with the Visiting Nurse and Hospice Service of Santa Fe, NM.
Ricki’s primary therapeutic focus is with adults who seek recovery from depression, anxiety, panic, ill health and grief as well as from experiences of trauma. She also appreciates the opportunity to work with couples, helping them identify points of miscommunication, develop healthy relationship skills, transform conflict and revitalize their relationship.
Ricki believes in her clients capacity to resolve life’s challenges, and to utilize their lessons to accomplish their goals. Extensive experience with multiple treatment approaches enriches her ability to reach clients and lead them to the necessary perceptions for healing.
An avid student of holistic health, Ricki is a certified dream therapist as well as a practitioner of healing touch and meditation. She has given workshops on these topics in the past in order to spread the word that healing and integrity are achieved as we discover our own rich, inner resources. She believes that we can only love others to the degree that we know and love our self.
Ricki particularly enjoys her home, her family and her friends. She and her husband, also a psychotherapist, relish time spent in nature, riding bikes and playing with their garage band. Ricki plays percussion!
