Sherlean Lybolt, LSPE, is a Licensed Senior Psychological Examiner. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee. She joined The Evelyn Frye Center in 2004. Sherlean specializes in solution focused therapy, a strength-based approach to identifying and affecting a client’s desired change in thoughts, feelings, and behavior.
Working with an adult clientele, she employs an interactive process to address concerns such as depression, relationship crises, emotional distress, career issues, loss and grief, substance abuse, and clinical disorders, as well as facilitating life-enhancement, and assisting clients achieve personal growth and self-improvement. She believes people have a remarkable capacity to learn and heal when given an emotionally safe environment that enables them to explore even their most deeply felt sources of pain or conflict, and allows their innate wisdom to surface.
When Sherlean’s not in her office, she can be found outdoors. Preferring to stay active, she likes to walk her dog, ride her bike, cook, read,
hike, and travel.
